The PULS collection

The PULS collection is made using a technique called "fusing", where silver or gold wire is melted into a shape using a flame on a flat surface. While the jeweller has some control over the form, the metal largely flows where it wants to, meaning no two pieces are ever the same.

The collection explores the theme of yielding to nature, chaos and chance and the surprising beauty than can blossom when we relinquish our tight grip on control and structure. PULS is a visual representation of my ADHD – the sometimes untameable, cyclical flow of creativity and ideas rushing around my mind at any given time.

The series explores movement, flow and the beauty in the uncontrollable. It invites you to lean into the parts of life we can’t influence and embrace fluidity of thought and imperfection. 

It is a deliberate opposition to the BAR collection, which arose from my deep-seated (autistic) need to control and obsess over every tiny detail, to have regularity and symmetry in order to achieve calmness and regulation.
